From my kitchen

These past few days has had me busy in the kitchen with it being rainy, windy and cold from Thursday last week till today. By Friday the radio man is sayin' it should warm up. I hope... The rain was much needed though. I kinda always figure God made rainy days so that outdoor girls could get there housework done. My kitchen's not near perfect but it suits me fine. :) Below is a family recipe that requires no baking but is delicious! It's a summertime favorite.

Rickty Uncles
1 cup corn syrup
1 cup white sugar
1 cup peanut butter
Combine in a pot and bring to just a boil.
Stir in 1 tsp vanilla
Add 7 cups cornflakes
Stir until cornflakes is coated
Drop by teaspoon full onto a wax paper lined cookie sheet
Cool and Enjoy!

Rodeo

Threshaman's Stampede is an every year occurrence in Austin, MB. This past weekend was spent riding with the Austin Hick Chicks Drill Team doing grand entry performances and 1/2 time drill entertainment. Here are a few photos from riding to getting ready. These girls are my 2nd family! Love riding with them :)

Camping

This past weekend was fabulously relaxing. Time was spent cooking over the fire, roasting marshmallows, and lots of laughter. I must also say lots of time was spent fishing and lounging.

Spring!

Its warming up here!

I even see trees starting to bud and the grass beginning to turn green!
All of my perennials have decided to make an appearance. Summer is on it's way.

Starting seeds and planting is midway through season.
If the weather cooperates I'll plant my flower pots on Friday.
We've been getting a lot of rain these past weeks.

I figure if we didn't have such a cold winter we wouldn't appreciate spring as much.

Happy Tuesday!

Hi!

It's been a while!
We have been busy, busy, busy...
A total of  9 weddings this year. 5 my Aunt Elma and I decorated for. Her and I are wedding and event decorators as a side job. Decorating is my passion. Our most favorite part is working with unique styles and making a brides dream come true!
