Working Bee at Lone Creek Ranch

May 17th... We've been preparing for this day for about 2 weeks. It finally came and now it's a memory. Thanks to our family for making this day happen. We couldn't have done it without you. Dad hauled and spread old manure over our entire yard. He started at 7am and only stopped at 6:30pm for supper. We raised the summer kitchen. We dug out my flower beds. We put 1 foot of manure over the garden and tilled and tilled... and guess what!? Now I can pull weeds!! My excitement cannot be contained over this matter!  We created new flower beds.

We went back to the ditches of #34 highway and dug out more evergreens. We dug out some lilac suckers from my brothers place. When we got back we planted them all.

Even Ace seems happy with all the buzz and transformation.

We planted 80 poplars and a row of lilacs to create shelter for our yard.
We situated maple trees, oak trees, and linden dropmore trees around our yard to provide shade.

Last but not least we planted grass. EVERYWHERE! Then harrowed it in.

Here's to hoping everything will grow and mature. I can't wait to plant my garden.
